DISNEYLAND!! (Day 3 play by play)

DAY 3:
Bright and early we ate breakfast at the hotel and then headed back to the parks.
Ani became our little "map" girl.  She loved the maps they handed out at the front of the parks and she studied them all the time, so she knew right where we were going.  Reading has definitely opened up a whole new world for her.  She loves it
As soon as Disneyland opened my parents took the kids to Small World again while some of us "big kids" quickly rode Thunder Mountain Railroad (love that ride) and Matterhorn (not as cool as I remembered it).  Then we met up with our kids again and Anisten wanted to do Peter Pan again while Aivree did the carousel.
I went to feed Alivia and then top on my list after that was to get in the line to meet Rapunzel.  She was the main Princess we (or just me?) really wanted to see and she was evidently the most popular because her line was incredibly long.  Luckily we got in it pretty early so our wait wasn't too terrible.  While we waited guess who showed up?
Flynn Rider!  Isn't he authentic looking?  Right out of the movie.  His nose was so extremely straight it made me wonder if it was real
Then it was finally our turn to meet Rapunzel and she was so sweet
First off she noticed Aivree's broken arm (many people noticed it in fact, everywhere we went).  She told her that if her hair was still magical she'd heal it for her
 So cute
Ani was having a discussion with Flynn about wigs (he had no idea what that was!?) and told Rapunzel she had a wig like her hair.  Rapunzel told her that it took her two hours to brush her hair.
Ani got to wear Rapunzel's crown
They were seriously soo sweet and fun and we loved meeting them
Sweet little Alivia slept through the whole thing
That was such a fun way to start out the day.  Here we are with our castle picture before heading over to California Adventure.
While we were waiting for the rest of the crew we saw Mary Poppins and Bert (and a penguin)!  I was so excited and showing the girls and for some reason they were really nervous and didn't want to go talk to them (I think it was the penguin).  I was taking pictures of them anyway because I thought it was cute.
I was talking to Anisten and all of a sudden here's Mary Poppins talking to us and asking us all kinds of things and being so sweet.  I think she could tell they were nervous so she came and showed them there was nothing to be afraid of.  She was seriously so nice.  I loved it.  Happiest place on earth I tell ya.

Aivree for some reason was still acting nervous.  I think it was just that....an act.  What a goof
So next we went to California Adventure which was new for all of our little family and it was so amazing.  We were debating which place we liked more.  Disneyland we decided is more classic Disney stuff and California Adventure has the more modern Disney stuff.  So we loved both for different reasons.

Handy Manny (I called him Bob the Builder; Anisten quickly corrected me) was out walking so we went to get a picture with him.  Aivree really liked him (and he liked her too)

I couldn't get over how cool this Hollywood backdrop thing looked

Next we went to Bug's Land and it was soo cute.  You seriously felt like you were miniature because they made everything that is usually small to us, look really big.  I loved it.  Everything about California Adventure was so creative.  I was always in awe.
Here we are on Flik's Flyers.  We had to convince Ani that it was a fun, safe and completely non scary ride.  She was wary of everything after yesterday.
After that Rob and I went on Tower of Terror.  It was Rob's first time on it ever (I'd gone on the one in Florida).  He almost got sick, but we both loved that one.  So fun.  Next we went and ate lunch and then went on the Ariel ride.  Seriously, so cute.  The girls loved it.

Happy little Alivia hanging out in the stroller.  She was seriously so good

Next we went to Cars Land and let me tell you...it was AMAZING!  Seriously loved it.  I liked it better than the movie in fact.  It is exactly like the movie.  Just brings everything to life.

 Dancing in the street

We went on Mater's Junkyard Jamboree first (so fun, me and the girls were laughing the whole time)
and then got in line for Luigi's Flying Tires.  We had to wait for about a half hour for that one and it was cool, but not really worth the wait I thought.
Air flew up from the ground and when you leaned, it would put air under your "tire" and make you move around and bump into other tires
Next we headed back to Bugs Land and did Tuck and Roll's Drive Em Buggies (bumper cars).

Then the kids were hot so they wanted to cool off in the Princess Dot Puddle Park.  We had lots of fun there and they got soaked!

Don't you love how the sprinkler head is huge, so it makes us look "small"

The girls went on Flik's Flyers again and we also did Francis Ladybug Boogie.  Then we got separated from everyone somehow and it was just our little famiy for a while.  We went to the It's Tough to be a Bug 3D show and the girls HATED it.  They screamed and cried and begged to leave (especially when the spiders came out of the ceiling).  I can't say I blame them.  Maybe when they're a little older they'll enjoy that one.  I did. :)

Next we headed to King Triton's Carousel (Aivree can't get enough Carousel) and got some ice cream and then met up with everyone else at the Monsters Inc ride.  Our whole family went on that one (even Alivia).  The girls loved that one too (although Anisten was very wary because it was Monsters)  It was probably one of her favorites after though and she kept asking to do it again.
Then we all headed over to Soarin Over California.  Not all of us could ride that one, so some of us stayed with those who couldn't.  It was pretty late when they got out so we headed back to the hotel after that.  This was probably our longest Park day of all of them.  We were seriously so exhausted, but it was so much fun and we covered a lot of ground.  We all slept very well again (including Alivia who was napping sporadically during the day.  She always slept a good nine hours at night.  She was such a good baby!)
