Back to Life...

The Monday after we got home from our vacation we were able to go and get Aivree's cast off.  She was a little scared at first, but very brave when they cut it off.  They did some x-rays and made sure all was well (it was) and she was good to go.
Here she is cast free!  For the whole next week she kept saying things like, "Now I can ride my bike!" and "Now I can hold your hand!" and "Now and I can hold two things!"  She was pretty excited to have her arm back and we are happy that she's all better. Love you Aivree Lou!
Life got pretty crazy again when we got home (which is why it's taken me forever to get to my blog).  Anisten was back in school and I also decided to sign her up for tumbling AND ballet.  I was struggling with that because she's only five years old and I wasn't willing to be the chauffer mom yet that had to drive her around all over the place.  I know that will be my life eventually, but I was dragging my feet about it for some reason.  I still am not sure why I decided to go ahead and sign her up for two classes a week, but I did and it's worked out.  Fortunately Rob has been home and has been able to drive her to and from classes the majority of the time.  Anisten loves it too.  She really wanted to do tumbling, but her teacher was really pushing ballet.  Anisten loves both, so she's happy.  She's doing really well too and improving a ton.
Little Miss Aivree has been my little buddy a lot more, now that Ani is gone more.  She decided she loves to make tents.  All the time.  No matter how much I try to get the house clean, Aivree is one step ahead of me...making a tent.
She's not really great at the whole tent-making, but she likes them so it's okay.  She uses a million blankets because she likes it to be really "dark."

This time she used lots of couch cushions.  (see what I mean about the mess?  There's no way she can put all that stuff back herself.  Oh well, she's being creative.)

I've tried to be more creative with my girls and finding fun things for them to do around the house.  Especially going into winter, I need to have some fun wintry-day activities up my sleeve.  Thanks to Pinterest and memories from my childhood, I think we'll be good.  Here's a couple of things we've done recently that have been fun.
My girls love anything dry-erase.  They love to draw for hours and then erase and then draw some more.  Here's a cute picture Anisten drew of our family flying kites (even Alivia).  Love it.
Crayon bowling.  They loved to knock em down, but it took awhile to set up sometimes.  That was usually my job.

 Marshmallow-toothpick houses
And of course, painting fingernails!!  These are scary Halloween fingernails.  Aivree's were peeled off in about an hour.  Not sure why I even bother.  They were cute for a little while.
Other things we've been up to:
Anisten is an excellent reader and Aivree loves to have her read books to her.  Here she is reading a book to both of her sisters.  And they're both loving it.
Alivia always wakes up so happy in the morning and here she is greeting Aivree with her great big grin
I decided to bring up the high chair so that Alivia could sit by us when we ate dinner.  Sometimes I'll put her in there when I'm making dinner or something too.  The girls have found that it's fun to push her around in her high chair all over the place.  Alivia seems to really like it too, so they have fun playing together.

And this is kind of random, but I just thought this picture was too cute.  We were trying hats on one morning.  All my cute girls with cute warm heads.  Bring on the cold! (not really)
