DISNEYLAND!!! (Days 1 & 2 play by play)

It finally came! September finally came and that meant that our countdown since Christmas 2011 was up and we were going to Disneyland!
DAY 1: We met at 8:45 am and then headed down to the airport.  The girls were excited and a little nervous for their first airplane experience.
Big girls sitting in their airplane seats.  You can see Grandma holding Alivia in the back
My mom packed each grandkid a carryon bag of things to do on the flight and she put snacks in too. She also put in suckers for them to suck on to help their ears deal with the air pressure better.  Here's a video of the girls as we're taking off.  It was pretty funny just to hear all the kids reactions to the take off and landing.
Once we were in the air for awhile they got out their toys from their bag and started coloring
Later they watched a little Tangled while enjoying their "in flight" snack
Alivia was wonderful during the whole flight too.  I fed her a bottle as we were taking off (although she finished it before we actually took off) and then I gave her a binky and she slept the whole time.  I was worried about her ears most of all, but she seemed the least affected by it.  She was sound asleep during the descent and didn't even wake up at all until after we had landed.
She earned her wings for sure!
After we got to our hotel we went and ate lunch.  The girls loved looking at the great big palm trees.  Aivree called them Pom Pom trees
And of course the girls had to try out the pool!  That was one of the things they were most excited about for this trip

The girls were also very excited about the bunkbed they got to sleep in in the hotel room.  The rooms were so very nice.  My parents totally spoiled us.  The girls got their own room and bathroom and there was a full kitchen.  It was very nice.
Sleep well girls...tomorrow we're going to Disneyland!!
DAY 2:
And here we are!!  In front of the famous Mickey Mouse grass
Here we go....in to Disneyland!!  Like Aivree's shirt says:  Let the Magic Begin!
Princess Alivia ready to meet the Princesses in Disneyland
Each day the first rides we went on we were able to walk right on pretty much.  So first off we headed to Splash Mountain.  As soon as Anisten saw the people going down the big hill, she backed out.  She started crying and saying she didn't want to do it.  Aivree did, but poor thing was about a half inch too short.  We heard that every day but we kept trying to get her on the rides hoping someone would let her by.  I mean, a half inch?  Most of the time they couldn't even really tell that she was too short without putting their hand on her head to make sure it didn't touch the line.  She was a good sport though.  So, Rob and I went ahead on Splash Mountain and then we caught up with the group after that.  Next we hit Winnie the Pooh and Pirates of Carribean.  Our whole family was on one boat on Pirates so that was really fun.  Anisten was slowly starting to figure out that these rides weren't as fun as we were telling her they were.  She'd get very nervous in the dark (which pretty much every ride is in the dark at some point we figured out).  She screamed on Pirates, but towards the end she was actually okay.
We visited Tarzan's treehouse next and got this hilarious picture.  Rob and I got a picture of this on our honeymoon and the girls have seen it, so I wanted to show them.  Aivree didn't like it so much.  Probably because right when her and Rob went by it, the leapord growled and a puff of air shot out at them and it actually scared Rob which really scared Aivree.  So classic
She got over it quickly though and liked looking at everything else
Grandpa helping out with baby Livvy
Next we went on the Jungle Cruise which had a ridiculously long line, but it was a cute ride
Next we headed to Fantasyland and rode Dumbo (which Aivree called Gumball because she's never heard of Dumbo before).  The girls loved that one (no dark places on that ride.  It quickly became a favorite).  Then we went to Small World and that became a favorite too.  Anisten was liking Fantasyland much better so far. :)

Merida from Brave was by the Small World ride so the girls went and chatted with her for a bit.  She was soo nice and talked to them for quite a while.  I actually liked her better than the Merida in the movie

Next we ate some lunch and took a break for a while.  It was pretty hot down there, so it was nice to find some shade.  After lunch we went on Finding Nemo submarine ride and that was soo cute!  It really felt like you were in the water with them.  Ani was a little nervous when it got dark again, but Aivree was brave as ever.  Then my parents took the kids for a bit and Rob and I went on Space Mountain.  I loved it!  That's probably one of my favorite Disneyland rides ever.  So fun.  We met up with the girls and Rob took them on Peter Pan while I went and fed Alivia (that was probably the trickiest part for me was feeding her every three hours.  I did find the Baby center which was awesome and I used it as often as I could after that).  The girls loved Peter Pan and that became a favorite too.  We went and explored Sleeping Beauty's castle and...
Anisten started crying again because she was scared, which made Rob mad.  All of this stuff was so real to her and she believed it, so when the villains came to life she didn't like it so much.  Oh my Anisten.
We headed back tot he hotel shortly after that and ate dinner at the hotel.  Rob took the girls for a quick swim before bedtime and we all slept very well that night.
