The Big 3-0!!

To say that Rob has been looking forward to turning 30 would be stretching the truth quite a bit...or a lot.  For some reason he has just been dreading this and Anisten keeps feeling sorry for us because of it.  "I'm sorry you're gonna be 30 Daddy."  I knew that he wouldn't want a lot of fanfare, we're not super big on birthdays around here, at least not for us "oldies."  He actually had to work on his birthday, which was on a Sunday, which was a big bummer, but he was home by about 11, so it wasn't too bad.  Unfortunately I had been feeling a kidney stone moving all morning long and was feeling awful about it.  What a terrible wife I am getting a stone on my husband's birthday.  We went to church and I made it through sacrament, but the pain was getting more intense and I couldn't hide it any longer.  Luckily we have a doctor in our ward and he was able to prescribe me some medicine that really helped.  He was a lifesaver.  So instead of Rob being pampered and spoiled on his birthday, he was telling me to lie down and rest while he went to get my medicine.  I felt so bad.  But the medicine helped a ton and I'm pretty sure I passed the stone the next day, so all is well.
Here's Rob getting some rest after a crazy morning
Here he is opening his presents.  The girls of course love everything about birthdays so we have to make it fun for them.  They each made him a card and Anisten wrapped their present to him
A BYU football.  The girls have actually played with it more than him
I wanted to spoil Rob a little bit since he was turning 30 and was so unhappy about it, so I got him some Bowflex adjustable weights that go up to 52.5 pounds.  He's been wanting these weights for a long time now and kept spending money on the little ones to add to his bars, so I figured might as well get them.
Anisten trying out the five pounder.
We went to my parents for dinner and had delicious steaks!  We had pie for dessert which is Rob's favorite.  It probably wasn't his most enjoyable birthdays ever, but it will be memorable.
Happy Birthday Babe!!!  Cheer up..you're a good looking 30 year old.  :)  I love you so much and am looking forward to our next 30 years together.
