Anisten has been working hard this year in tumbling and ballet and was so very excited to show us all she'd learned in her recital on May 18th.
Here are her pictures in her tumbling costume. So pretty.
And ballet
I didn't take a video of her during the recital because I ordered a DVD and unfortunately I can't put it on here, but luckily there were no huge costume mishaps like last time. As you can see, her shorts are all attached, so there was no worry of them falling down again. ;) She did really well in her recital although she seemed more nervous to me this time. Previously she goes out there and knows the dance so well and just does her thing, but this time she seemed a little more hesitant. She still did wonderful though and I was so proud of her. It always makes me smile to watch her dance. Ani's Grandma and Grandpa Stevenson and Rollins both came to watch her dance.
On a somewhat funny note: at the end of the recital, Ricci was calling out the names of the people who had made the Performance Team. She said "Addi" and Anisten must've thought she said "Ani" because she came to the front and stood with the team. She didn't even try out! Silly girl. I had to tell her afterwards that she wasn't on the Performance Team because she didn't try out and she was like "oh yeah." I went backstage to get her stuff and realized that she was missing her tumbling costume! Nowhere to be found. So glad we paid forty dollars for a costume she got to wear once. We were hoping she could use it to dance in at class or something. Oh well. Hopefully someone found it and turns it in. To be honest, I was a little relieved to have the recital over with. Between pictures and practices it gets a little chaotic with a six year old. What on earth am I getting myself into?
Here she is on recital night with the flowers we got her. Aivree was so excited to give them to her. This girl just loves to dance and looks forward to it every Tuesday and Wednesday night. She's signed up to take hip hop in the summer and little miss Aivree is signed up to take a Mini's class. They are soo excited! I'm glad they enjoy it and that makes it worth it. Love my beautiful dancers.
