Merry Christmas!!!

Well, lucky for us, the girls slept in again on Christmas this year!  I think that having a big party the night before helps wear them out and since they get all kinds of presents the night before, they're not so overly excited that they wake up super early on Christmas morning.  That's my theory at least. ;)  Whatever the reason, I sure enjoy it.  The girls were up around 8 and excited as ever to go see if Santa came or not.  (Which Santa, just to update you, Anisten still dislikes..greatly.  I think she believes in him, but she just would rather not ever have to see or talk to him in person.  I'm not sure if Aivree likes him or not because we didn't really go out of our way to talk to him or anything and we couldn't go to the Rollins Christmas party that he was at.  She did keep saying that all her presents came from Santa though, so she must believe in him too.)  First we read Luke 2 from the scriptures.  Aivree wasn't too thrilled to be reading scriptures at the time, so I let her open the first present of Christmas...the baby Jesus.  I think she was just in awe that I actually let her touch part of my precious Nativity.  She was so very careful with it though.  It was cute.
Here she is putting him in his manger
And on to the gifts...
The girls got Leappads for Christmas this year as you can see (no assembly required, which was nice;)
The first thing Aivree saw sticking out of her stocking was these peeps on a stick and she was very excited about it.  So easy to please
And here's the mess once the opening was all done.  They tore through it pretty quickly
My cute Christmas girls
Busy playing away and exploring the new toys
After a big breakfast we all got ready to go to Grandma and Grandpa Stevenson's for more fun.
Happy Alivia sitting with Grandma and Grandpa.  They talked with us for a bit before the gift opening about remembering the real meaning of Christmas
Then we sang Silent Night while Rob accompanied us on his guitar
Then we headed downstairs for the present part.  Look at this big pile of gifts and food storage!
Cute Livvy with her present
The girl's opening their cute new clothes
Alivia sporting some of her new things (headband and boots)  So cute!
We got spoiled once again.  The girls got clothes and Legos and money, I got some new books and lotion and Rob got some car stuff and a car wash gift card and we also got some other fun gift cards for the family as well and then of course...Cash!  We had to get into our safe first and this is what we found.  A 15 foot long chain of cash.  They definitely overdid it.
We all pitched in and gave them a gift certificate to Hale Centre Theatre (same as Rollins parents) so they can go on some dates and see some plays this year.  They were happy about it :)
Then we ate food throughout the day and just hung out and played
Just Dance
The Leappads were busy most of the day
Even Alivia got some fun play time in
The girls got a game of perpetual commotion going and the guys were all busy playing some racing app.  I just thought this picture was funny (Lexi did too, she's taking a picture)
The girls playing some more Wii.  A lot of the cousins had to leave early to visit other family, so they had the place to themselves for awhile
Here's Rob unfolding our cash chain.  It took a while!
We had such a great Christmas this year and felt so very blessed.  Can't believe its already over.
