For the next few days after Christmas it snowed. The girls loved it and went out to play in it everyday.
I put some food coloring in water so the girls could "paint" the snow
Of course there was a lot of playing with the new toys
On New Year's we went over to the Rollins and partied. We played games and ate some yummy food.
Here's Anisten and Ty playing. Ty would throw the rings and she'd catch them on her head or arms. :)
Aivree playing with the cousins
Sweet little Livvy. She took a pretty good nap and was a good girl, but started getting tired early on. We debated putting her to bed there, but we decided to have an early New Year's for the kids and we celebrated with horns and confetti at around 8. Then we headed home to get the kidlets to bed. Alivia went right to sleep, but woke up about 45 minutes later crying and wouldn't go back to sleep. I went and checked on her and she had thrown up all over in her bed. We had to give her a bath and change her sheets and then I rocked her for awhile. She went back to sleep pretty good, but she sure wasn't feeling good. I actually came out of her room shortly before midnight and almost slept right through it. Rob was watching a movie, so we kissed at midnight and then I went to bed. Not our most exciting New Year's, but that's okay. Sometimes with little ones, you learn to adjust. :)
The next day we went to my parents for a New Year's party and ate lots more great food and played fun games (Hedbanz was a blast! I really wish I'd taken pictures) Alivia was feeling a little better and took a really good nap. It was bittersweet because it was the last of our holiday parties and I didn't want them to end. We are so lucky to be close to family and get to spend the holidays together. They really do make them so much fun. Looking back, 2012 was filled with extreme highs and lows. Rob starting a new job and struggling through long hours and weeks away from home and then getting our beautiful Alivia. We also went to Disneyland which was a highlight for sure. Who's to say what the next year will bring, but we have much to be grateful for and faith in the future. Happy 2013!
