Tonight we went to see the lights in the Layton Park with Grandma and Grandpa Rollins (who are watching Taft for the week) and Stu, Sommer and Fisher. It was kind of cold, but actually not as bad as we were thinking it would be. The girls and I had been cooped up in the house the past three days, so we were excited to get out and do something fun.
It's actually nice just to drive through the park, they have a lot you can see just from your car, but it was fun to get out and walk around too and see all the "animals"
Fisher, Ani and Aivree getting ready to go check it all out
These trees were really cool to watch because their lights were "dancing" to the music.
After the lights we got in the car and the girls kept asking for ice cream. I know, after freezing in the cold, they want ice cream? But, it is one of their favorite treats and it sounded good to us too, so we all went to McDonalds for a treat and the kids loved playing on the playground. Aivree's favorite thing ever is to go to the park and play on the playgrounds, so she has had a really hard time since the weather got too cold for them. She was so happy to finally get to play on a playground for awhile (and was very upset when we had to leave). It was a fun night out and gets me excited for the Christmas season ahead.
