Our Family Adventure at Antelope Island

It was a beautiful spring Saturday in March and we decided on a whim to take the girls to Antelope Island.  They were so excited that we were going to this magical place and they just couldn't wait.  It really did end up being so much fun and I'm so glad we went.  The girls had a blast and it was right up their alley for an adventurous time.
First we went to the beach and walked out to the water....

..to skip rocks, or just throw them...

and to write in the sand. <3>
Then we hopped back in the car and were driving up to see the rocks when we saw this mighty big buffalo just hanging out on the side of the road.  The girls thought it was so cool (and so did Rob and I) to see him up so close.  They are so big!
Next we went on a little hike
The girls were such troopers and didn't ever ask to be carried or anything..they just kept hiking away
...except for Livi.  She got carried.  She kept giving me smiles too, which I loved.
When we made it up to where all the big rocks are we played a game of hide and seek.  It was way fun and Aivree and I hid so well in a little cave looking thing that Daddy and Ani couldn't find us.

It was fun to just run around and climb all over the rocks.
We saw so many international tourists walking around it was crazy.  Apparently we take our little island, that's only five minutes down the road, for granted.  Glad we got to enjoy it as a family.  It's something the girls enjoyed so much and hope to go back again soon.
