Oh you've gotta love Easter morning. My girls were so excited. They just love Easter and hunting and all the fun stuff that goes with it. We had a talk with them before hiding everything, about Easter and the resurrection and what it's all about. Anisten gave a talk in Primary about it the week before and did really good. They were both looking forward to finding the empty egg that symbolizes Jesus' empty tomb.
Here are some of the "hidden" eggs
I know this isn't an egg, it was just a prize they were to find and then share
Aivree finding her basket
Here's Ani getting an egg off a balloon
She knows what that says!
Ani finding her basket
Aivree was excited to find this movie: Barbie in the Pink Shoes! They've been asking for it for so long
Here they are with all their finds. This was the best picture I could get of all three of them
Enjoying some of the new stuff
Livi loved playing with all the empty eggs. We apparently didn't check all the ones we gave her though and she found one with chocolate in it. She screamed when I took that away from her. I don't really blame her (except that she was eating the wrapper as well)
Here they are all dressed up in their Easter best. I really wanted to get a cute picture outside by the flowers, but it was not happening. Aivree and Alivia wouldn't look up for anything because it was so bright, so we moved it inside....
Not much better...
We take what we can get with family pictures sometimes. :) I sure love these girls. We had such a fun Easter.
We went to the Stevenson's for dinner that night and my mom did a lesson on the resurrection and then gave each family a Butterfly Garden with money to order our own caterpillars and then watch them turn into butterflies. The girls couldn't wait to get the caterpillars and it's been really fun to watch them move around and get into their chrysallids. We really did have a great Easter. It came and went so fast this year, since it was in March. Feels like it shouldn't be over already. Happy Easter!
