Summertime Fun

Just wanted to post some pictures of things that we've been doing around here lately
Daddy made this awesome turtle in the girl's new sandbox.  Doesn't it look cool?

Here's the girls with a castle I tried to make for them.  We tried to do a moat around the outside, but obviously the water didn't stay in very long

The girls love their sandbox
Rob working hard weeding the garden

Our garden has been producing too and it's been so much fun!  Here are some green beans and peas and they are so yummy.  We've also enjoyed some lettuce, spinach, tomatoes and carrots.  I was so happy when I could see actual vegetables growing.  We did it!  So fun
Raspberries!
Our little "shoot" (or should it be "chute", I'm not sure) by the dead Cherry tree. We'll see how it grows
On July 14th Anisten was in the Clinton Days Parade for dance.  I was debating going because Rob had to work and it was really early so I didn't know if I could get us all there on time, but somehow I managed.  My sister was a big help too.
Here's Alivia during the parade.  Such a good little sleeper
And here's Aivree (sorry this picture is blurry).  She was kind of lost without Ani, but she had fun still.
She loved seeing the Princesses in the parade.  Here is Rapunzel and Cinderella...
 ...Belle...
 ...And Ariel!
Aivree watching the parade with our little group
And here's Anisten's float.  I don't know if I got a picture of her because I was taking a video.  I'll try to upload it. She loved being in the parade and was so serious about it.  She's such a crack up.

Aivree picking up candy.  She was all over that and got so excited to put more candy in her bag.  It was a fun day and I'm glad I decided to go.  It was great timing too, because it started to rain as soon as the parade ended.
Speaking of rain, we've had some pretty neat summer showers lately and the girls have really enjoyed playing in the rain with their umbrellas.  Except that this time Aivree didn't use her umbrella much and got all wet.
Anisten and her umbrella...always has to strike a pose ;)
Another picture of wet Aivree...I don't know why she was making this face.  She probably didn't think it was very funny that I was laughing at her, especially since she was so cold.
Since they got all wet and cold they decided that hot chocolate sounded good.  I know, hot chocolate in July?  But it made them very happy and they drank it up.  It's actually become one of Aivree's favorite things and she keeps asking for hot chocolate after she swims.
We had fun going on walks/bike rides with my three girls.  The girl's very favorite thing is when Daddy is home and he takes them for a bike ride in the bike trailer.  He takes them all over and it usually includes a stop for ice cream or a slurpee.  They seriously love it so much.  I'll have to get a picture of it.
One day we made "paintings" with edible paint (pudding with different colored food coloring)  It was fun to lick your fingers while you painted.  The girls loved mixing the colors...and Aivree mostly loved the eating
I got the girls new jammies from the Disney Store and they love them!
And of course, there's not many days that go by without some dress ups and being silly

And of course, there is A LOT of this going on
Overall, despite being a somewhat unexciting summer (especially with Rob working so much) we've tried to make it fun.
