Cousins Camp

My girls are so lucky...they have both of their grandparents no more than ten minutes away and they spoil them like crazy!  This summer Gma and Gpa Rollins had a Cousin's Camp on June 29-30.  She had all the grandkids age 3 and up (about 12 altogether) over for fun, food, games and a sleepover.  My girls were sooo excited for Cousin's Camp they could barely stand it.  We didn't know if Aivree was going to stay the night for sure or not because I didn't know how she would do, but she did all right and there was no way I'd be able to get her away anyway. :)  It was great for Rob and I because we got to have a night alone (with Alivia).  We went and ate at yummy Cafe Zupa's and got ice cream and then watched a movie.  It was a fun night and nice to be able to have a quiet morning too.
Here's the sign at Grandma Rollin's house, welcoming all the "campers"
From what I hear they tie dyed shirts, decorated hats, made pizzas, swam outside, watched movies, slept (a little), woke up early, had a yummy breakfast, went to the park, went to get ice cream and then had lunch.  They had a blast!  We picked them up around 1 and Aivree fell asleep in the car on the 8 minute drive home and slept for two hours. :)  But that was pretty much expected.
Here they are in their tie dye T shirts
On July 20, Gma and Gpa Stevenson had a Cousin's camp too!  This time with five of the grandkids and once again the girls were so excited, I could hardly stand it!  I bought them their very own sleeping bags this time and they loved that.
Here they are swimming in the sprinklers and playing in Gma and Gpa's fun backyard with their cousins.

Rob got home late from work that night, but we were still able to go to dinner (at Red Robin) and tried watching a movie (we both fell asleep).
From what I hear from my girls, this time they swam outside, ate pizza, made homemade tin can ice cream, played the Wii and Spot it, slept little and woke up early (again), played dress up and had a blast again.  This time Aivree didn't take a nap, but thankfully she wasn't too ornery either.
My girls had so much fun and are already looking forward to their next Cousin's Camp.  I'm glad too because we haven't been able to go camping this year or last and we've missed it, so at least they got to have some kind of camping experience with their cousins.  Thanks again Grandma's and Grandpa's!  You're the best!
