Our Christ Centered Christmas

This year for Christmas my Mom and Dad helped us remember the true meaning of the season: Our Savior. They helped us to have a more Christ-Centered Christmas by giving us the book by Emily Freeman, as well as giving us each a beautiful Nativity to display in our homes. The book explains the meaning each character in the Nativity plays and we had corresponding family nights to help us learn more about them.

We were to add each character of the Nativity one at a time throughout the month, with the baby Jesus last on Christmas day. It really helped me understand more about that night and realize how truly incredible it was.
My beautiful Nativity. I love it!
Last year for Christmas my parents gave us these Christmas Jars to fill with extra change throughout the year. On our "Joseph" family night we gave our Christmas Jar money to a family in need.

That night my parents also treated us to dinner at Jason's Deli (we love it there!)
The kids love it too (free ice cream!)

After dinner we went to Layton Park to see the lights. We just stayed in our cars because it was packed and we were on a time limit. Aivree wasn't too happy about that, but I think she still enjoyed what she could see. Unfortunately, Rob was once again working hard on our house, so he missed the fun night. We sure missed him too.
