Let's Go Fly a Kite

Once again, we decided to take advantage of the weather situation for some outside activities. The weather I'm speaking of this time wasn't wonderful, but it was perfect for flying a kite.

Beautiful butterfly kite. It looked so cool flying, I thought.

Anisten pointing to the kite

Rob with the Winnie the Pooh kite. It was one of those really light, cheap ones so it flew really high you could pretty much take a nap while flying it. The wind just carried it away.

Anisten found more interest in the cookies than the kites.

The Winnie the Pooh kite. Ani kept pointing up to it and saying "bear!"

It started raining about 5 minutes after we stopped flying the kites. Good timing.

I have not flown a kite in so long! I think the last time was when we were little and we couldn't get it to fly. Of course knowing us there was probably no wind. Ani looks so cute! Also Scotty and I went to go see Indiana Jones on Saturday and it was all sold out! We went out to dinner though which was nice.

How funny, Taylor bought the Indy trilogy too. We were planning on seeing the 4th one on friday, it didn't work out, but I'm so excited, and I'll let you know how I feel about the ending. By the way, I love the buttefly kite, it really does look so beautiful flying through the air.

How fun to go out and fly a kite! I do have to agree I think I would choose animal cookies over the kite anyday! You guys got the kite going pretty high! I don't ever do very well with the whole kite thing!

I don't think I have flown a kite since I was little, and even then it never worked out for me. What a cute idea, love the picture of Anisten with the cookies, that is funny. Oh, and we tried to go see Indiana Jones Monday night, but everything was sold out. Guess we should have figured since it was Memorial day...oh well!!

I love the Butterfly kite! Where did you get that? It is really pretty flying in the air. We have owned the Indy trilogy since Christmas 2006. But unfortunately we don't have money or a babysitter so we can go to see the new one. I can't wait for it to come out on DVD and then we can rent it at Redbox (we can totally afford $1) and watch it at home. Glad to hear that it was good. Thanks!
