Our Blessed Easter

This year for Easter we decided make sure that our girl's understood the real meaning of Easter and what its all about, so we thought a good way to emphasize that was to go down to Temple Square and see the Christus.  We tried at Christmastime and it was so packed that we didn't even get in the building, so it was really good this time to go down and take our time and see everything we wanted to see without fighting the crowds.
Not to mention the gorgeous flowers on Temple Square in the Spring.  I almost like them more than the lights.
We went to City Creek first and ate dinner...everyone getting whatever it was they wanted in the food court (lots of options!)  The girls got pizza, Rob got Mexican food and I got Chinese. :)
My beautiful girls and the beautiful flowers

 Walking around Temple Square

These flowers were kissing!  Aw, cute

Rob talking to the girls about the sacredness of this place and how we act when we go see the Christus
 Beautiful reflecting pond

For some reason these pictures turned out kind of fuzzy, but you get the message :)

The girls in front of the Christus.  Love this picture
Aivree took a picture of Rob and I :)

We walked around the Visitor's Centers and looked at all the stuff and read a lot of things.  I liked this quote.  After that we got ice cream and then headed home.  It was such a fun night and definitely a new tradition for us that we will be sure to continue.
The next morning the girls got to wear their beautiful new Easter dresses to church.  I love that they let me dress them in matching clothes still.
How beautiful are they??  I just love my girls

We have the cutest librarians in our ward and they always give the kids cookies after church every week.  This week they gave them this for Easter.  Peeps. So sweet!!
Then we made the girls hang out in their rooms for a bit while we hid their Easter gifts.  There's Aivree's basket way up high!
Anisten's basket

And Livi's basket
They got some fun new toys that will hopefully keep them busy for awhile.  It was such a great Easter.
