Field trip to the Zoo with my Ani girl

On April 7th my Mom was good enough to watch Aivree and Alivia so I could go with Anisten on her school field trip to Hogle Zoo! (Not sure if you're counting, but this is my third visit to the zoo within the last year and I didn't have to pay once!)  Pretty much any opportunity to volunteer for a field trip or whatever, Ani wants me to do it.  I figure I should do as much as I can while she's not embarrassed of me yet, right?
I had to drive down separately from the buses and was worried about Ani because she gets carsick on the buses, but she was okay.  I was in charge of four kids in her class including Anisten.  They were a cute litte group and we had fun.
Watching the wolves
the cool tiger (Owen, Tyler, Anisten and Makayla)

 The Eagles Nest
Ani with her good friend Owen Hadley.  The Hadley's drive Ani to and from school in the carpool everyday and they live in our ward just a few houses down.  Ani and Owen were in the same class in Kindergarten and now in first grade and have become good friends.  They like to play with each other even out of school.
All the kids trying to gather in the Eagles Nest
 Watching the seals

 Giant tortoise
 And of course the giraffes!
We had a paper and were supposed to try to find an animal that began with each letter of the alphabet (trickier than you'd think), but I think we just about did it.  The kids were good and we had a fun time.  Luckily I didn't lose anyone.

That night for family night we had a lesson on the Resurrection and made Resurrection rolls.  They were yummy!  Although instead of the marshmallow disappearing nicely they kind of just exploded out of the side.  :)  But they still tasted good.
I also filled eggs with different symbols of Christ's last week on earth.  It always helps to have some visuals.
