The Sunday before Halloween at Grandma Stevenson's house the kids had so much fun raking up the leaves and throwing them in the air. One of the fun Fall traditions
The next night for Family Night we decided to carve some of our pumpkins we had and my parents joined us. They turned out pretty awesome.
I bet you can guess...this one is Rob's
This one is Anisten's that I helped her with
And this one is Aivree's that I helped with as well...I was going for quick and easy with theirs, but they turned out good
This is Grandma Stevenson's, but Aivree wants me to be sure and mention that she helped her
And this one is Grandpa Stevenson's
Here's some of the mess afterward. Next year we'll probably need to carve the pumpkins closer to Halloween, because some of them (the owl one) were already starting to curl or wither or whatever the word is by the time Halloween night came (we carved them on Monday and Halloween was on Thursday).
Grandma and Grandpa Rollins gave the girls a Halloween cookie kit and so they got to decorate and eat them and I just had to include the cute and hilarious pictures
And then the night finally arrived! After all the parties and waiting...Halloween was here. We went trick or treating with some friends in our neighborhood. The girls were several houses ahead of us at times because we'd stop and chat with neighbors and they were running to the next house. They were pretty fast.
Here's Livi getting some candy
Homemade donuts at the Watson's
Livi was so cute trick or treating. She kept swinging her bucket
This is trick or treating at our house. Rob didn't want to stay at home this year and pass out candy and we wanted him to stay with us anyway, so he left the candy in a bowl on the porch with a note that said to only take "a few." Yeah the bowl was completely empty, as you can imagine.
Here are the girls trick or treating our sweet neighbors Sam and Steve. They always save something extra special for them. They are the sweetest ever!
And then we went trick or treating to my parent's house once the girls got too cold (except for Ani - she could've gone all night!) I love my dad's face
The next morning Anisten didn't have to go to school (yay!) so we sorted out all their goodies. They got a lot
And to wrap it all up...here are a few of the Halloween crafts we did to decorate our house this year
Crazy spiders
These are leaves from our tree outside
