Fourth of July 2013

Well this Fourth of July Rob had to work (of course), so that morning I took the girls to the breakfast at Layton Park with my parents.  I barely got there before they finished serving, but hey, we made it.  It was good too.  After breakfast I headed home with Alivia so she could take a nap and the girls went to watch the Layton parade with Grandma and Grandpa and the cousins.  I hear they had a blast and caught lots of candy in their umbrellas.  I gave them umbrellas for shade..apparently they liked them for catching candy. :)  At home I was able to workout while Livi was napping and Rob came home around lunch time.  I then headed to my parents to pick up Anisten and Aivree and drop Alivia off for another nap at Grandma's while the rest of us went and saw Monster's University.  I know, poor Livi, the Fourth of July just really isn't that big of a deal for a 12 month old.  We loved the movie though.  It was so cute and funny.
Playing in the theater after the movie
Here is Anisten, also at the movie theater, but she is showing me the cool face art uncle Brandon paid for at the fair after the parade.  Spoiled girl.  Looks cool though huh?
After the movie we went to Kneaders to pick up Mom and Dad's birthday cake that I ordered.  Then we went to their house for dinner and fun. We were celebrating both of their birthdays today.  We gave them some new "sunday dinner supplies" for their birthdays: four new Lifetime chairs, lots of paper products and a gift card to Kents...and a cake.
Happy Birthday Mom and Dad!  The cake was super yummy, by the way.
We hung out all night playing washer toss and volleyball and eating, of course.  Rob went home with Alivia around 8 so they could go to bed.  He had to get up early for work, so he offered to take the little one home for bed.  I got the girls in their jammies and we headed to Grandma and Grandpa Maxfield's house to watch the Layton fireworks.
Look how fun this set up is?  My Grandma and Grandpa are so cute.  They spoil us with popcorn every year at the fireworks.
Aivree waiting for the "big" show to begin.  There were lots of fireworks going on pretty much constantly all around us.  Sounded like a war zone
Anisten in her viewing seat
And then the fireworks show:
Audrey was so cute sitting next Aivree watching the fireworks.  "Did you see the pink one?"
Anisten didn't do much watching of the fireworks. She mostly just ran around and played with her cousins.  Such a fun holiday...especially when you're a kid.  This is probably her first ever late night (I'm a stickler I know..I don't like having ornery children) and she was loving it.
 The Grand Finale!!
I know that it seems like Alivia slept the whole day, but she was there and had fun.  I just didn't get any pictures of her.  We made the best of our situation and made it a fun holiday.
