Well, I thought I should post all the pics that are floating around in my phone from the summer. No big events here, but lots of fun random moments that are fun to remember.
Layton City put in a splash pad this year and it was such a genius idea. The only problem is that its overcrowded because its the only Free splash pad for miles and the water is incredibly cold (but feels great on a hot day!) My girls were lucky enough to experience it several times and this is just one of the times that we went.
Looks like fun eh?
Cute little Aivree standing in a waterfall. Or the dragon's spit or something
Do you see Anisten in there? She's prepping to go down the slide in the middle of that swarm of children.
Alivia thought the splash pad was just heaven. She loved it and was probably braver about the cold water than any of us.
I honestly can't even remember why, but I took the girls to Madbrook Donuts one morning and this is a picture of them enjoying their treats. It was our first time going to Madbrook and it was pretty yummy. I really liked the Donut holes. Just the right amount of a treat there.
Syracuse City put on the play "Annie" at Syracuse High School and Sara (little cousin/niece Sara Stevenson) was in it, so I took Anisten to see it. We just happened to see her Rollins/Litchford cousins there too which was a fun surprise. Anisten loved the play and although it was like three hours long, she stayed enthralled through the whole thing.
This is what I came home to after the play. Rob was working out in the basement and Alivia was elbow deep in a box of cereal.
On Pioneer Day, Rob had the day off and so we went and saw the movie Despicable Me 2. This was in the lobby at the Movie Theater and we just couldn't pass up this picture opportunity. Aivree's head is sticking out on the bottom of Anisten's picture. haha
Here they are waiting for the movie to start. Miraculously, Alivia did pretty well during the movie. She switched between Rob and I a lot and stood up a lot towards the end, but we never had to take her out so that was a bonus. It was a cute movie and we had lots of fun.
Ani continued to lose teeth! This was tooth #3 that dangled there for quite a while. Such a funny girl wanting to hold onto those teeth.
I love these pictures of Ani and Aivree just hanging outside. They were seriously out there for HOURS...in their pajamas no less..hey, its summer! I just love when they use their imaginations and play, play, play
We went on as many family hikes as we could. One of our favorite things to do
One magical night Rob and I got to go on a DATE! It was so much fun and so needed. We went to the Cheesecake Factory first. Soo yummy. We loved the avocado eggrolls
We happened to go on Free Cheesecake day and so we got free slices of cheesecake! Bonus!

After stuffing ourselves we went to a Stingers game. We've always loved going to games...any kind really, ever since we were dating in high school. It had been a while since we'd seen a Stingers game and it was really fun. My mom watched the girls that night and she just had them sleepover, so we didn't have to worry about being home at a certain time or anything. It was great. Much needed and much appreciated night out with the love of my life.
My parents gave the girls some tin can homemade ice cream to bring home and roll until it got frozen. Here they are rolling away. The ice cream was divine!
I discovered this wonderful gem this summer. Calorie free coconutty drink. What more can you ask for?
One of our sweet neighbors brought us some cupcakes one night and the girls, well Alivia mostly, got nice and messy eating them.
We had Audrey over one day to babysit her for awhile and she randomly did this down in the basement. Pretty pose
The girls just thought that was absolutely beautiful, so they had to do it as well and get their pictures taken. Oh, my girls. Gotta love em
As you can see, we were very vacation-less this year. No exciting trips mostly because of Rob's terrible work schedule at Frito Lay and then starting a new job and not wanting to take off time immediately (not that there was money to do so anyway). We still had a fun summer though and made memories without leaving home.
