On August 26th, 2013, Anisten started First Grade! She was so excited. Summer was a bit too long for her, to be honest. She couldn't wait to get back to school and learning and fun. Little did she know that Kindergarten is a bit different than First grade. ;) Fortunately, Syracuse Elementary was able to do a traditional schedule this year instead of tracks liked last year, so Ani didn't have to go to school in July! Yay!
We went school shopping and Anisten picked out this super cute dress to wear on the first day. I think that she was most excited about that. She looked so cute.

For some wonderful reason, my phone camera decided to go all fuzzy at this perfect moment (I'm sure it had nothing to do with me), so the pictures aren't very clear. :(

And after she got home from school on her first day. Happy girl :) She made that cute necklace she's wearing in school, it says her name.
Can't believe she's already in first grade and going to school all day long! It was probably more of an adjustment for me and Aivree than for Anisten. It's crazy having her be gone that long. Lunches are a whole new thing too. We opted to do home lunch, so that means trying to be creative and come up with and put together lunches each day. It makes me feel better knowing what she's eating though. My little Ani is getting so big!
