On December 19th we went on a playdate with some friends from our ward to Christmas Village in Ogden to visit with Mrs. Clause. She was so sweet and took us on a "tour" of the Christmas Village and then we got to go inside Santa's Castle.
Anisten was a little nervous when we told her what we'd be doing because she's still afraid of Santa for some reason and so I guess she thought Mrs. Clause would be equally frightening (I really have no idea why she's afraid of him). When we got there she was a little nervous, but then she saw how nice Mrs. Clause was and she held her hand while they walked around! She was by her side most of the time in fact.
Aivree on the other hand must have had some of Anisten's nervousness rub off on her and wanted nothing to do with Mrs. Clause. Even when she saw Ani holding her hand...she was worried about Ani's safety. :) Silly girl.
Here is Santa's Castle. Once we were all about freezing (which took about 20 minutes), we went inside Santa's Castle and the kids got to sit on Mrs. Clause's lap and she gave them a treat bag.

We tried to get Aivree to at least look at her, but she wasn't having it. At least she didn't scream and throw a fit, she just wouldn't let go of me.
It really ended up being a pretty fun playdate, albeit short. It was just too cold to stay outside for long. The girls LOVED everything they got in their treat bags which was surprisingly a lot considering it was a free little outing.
