Anisten, my tiny dancer

This summer I put Anisten in dance at The Movement Dance center; a studio owned by my friend Ricci from my High School drill team. Let me just say Anisten LOVES it. Loves, loves, loves it. It is her favorite day of the week. My good friend Dee found some really cute dance clothes for us at an awesome price and we bought Ani some ballet shoes and she is in heaven. She just loves getting in her dance clothes and shoes and waltzing around.

They were also in a lot of parades this summer and Anisten loved being a part of those too. She enjoyed being in the parades and throwing the candy rather than watching the parades and catching the candy (more pictures to come of that).

The only bad part about all of it is that Aivree always wants to be just like her sister. The first few weeks she had a really hard time when we dropped Ani off at dance class and Aivree didn't get to go too. She always wants to wear Ani's ballet shoes (we may have to buy her a pair just for fun) and dance clothes and tries to sneak into her class when I'm not looking. Someday Buggy, someday. It is kind of nice for Aivree and I to have some time together just the two of us. We don't get that very often. We usually go to the store or to a park or something.

Another reason she may be sad about it is because I've started going to dance class too. :) Deeann teaches an adult Hip Hop class one night a week and I've started going when I can and it is a BLAST! I'm certainly not the same dancer I was 10 years ago, but I still enjoy it. It's been a lot of fun and also a really enjoyable way to get a workout. We've already got Ani signed up for dance this next year and she is very happy about it. Lots of dance going on at our house lately.


The Movement Dance center had an end of summer party at the park and I took my girls (Aivree got to come too) to go and help out. I was in charge of the snow cones and they were a hit. ;)
