My Messy Girls

Well I thought I had lucked out because Anisten never really went through that stage where she would get into everything when I wasn't looking and make a huge terrible mess. Don't get me wrong she got into stuff, but nothing I would gasp at when I saw her doing it or anything. Well, lately I've been a bit more worried about leaving her alone for too long. The other day I walked in on her with scissors cutting everything she could get a hold of - thankfully she didn't think to cut her hair. Just recently I was making cookies and went to put Aivree down for a nap and when I came out I saw this mess:

Flour anyone? Apparently, she wanted to help with the cookies. She took the measuring spoon and scooped the flour into the measuring cup until it was overflowing. Well, at first I gasped and then I started laughing and got the camera out.

So she just kept scooping and you know how flour is; it seems to grow the more you play with it...

Which made me laugh harder. I took her to the bathroom to show her what she looked like in the mirror and then she started crying saying "Get it off my face!" Her first lesson with flour. Too funny. Hey I guess if that's the worst she gets into, I'm okay with it. :)

My other messy girl is learning to eat solids and of course making a mess of it.
I started her on cereal at about 4 1/2 months to see if it made a difference with her sleeping. It seemed to help a little and she sure does like it.

Green beans..an acquired taste. Those first few bites were not too pleasant, but now they're her favorite.

What adorable kids! I feel the same way - I seriously dread the day that I see Aspen with scissors!

You have the cutest girls!

You definitely need to consider yourself lucky, Lance was so good at that age still is never gets into anything, but Luke he is a nightmare flour all over is like a daily occurence around here.

Your girls are seriously adorable! I'd say that is pretty lucky to not have a huge story to tell about her getting into something. I was laughing when she said to "get it off". Priceless!!
