Pregnancy Update

I am currently 29 weeks along which is awesome because it means I only have 11 weeks left. Yay! I went in to take the glucose-tolerance test on Dec 23. For those of you who've been pregnant, you know it's not very fun, but it really wasn't too bad this time. Well, on Christmas Eve I get a phone call from the clinic telling me my blood sugar is too high and that I need to come back and take a 3 hour glucose test and that I am to avoid all sugars in the meantime. What a Christmas present that is, huh? I took the 3 hour test the day after Christmas because I wanted to get it over with. I found out yesterday the results from that test...still too high. So I officially have gestational diabetes and cannot have any simple sugars the remainder of the pregnancy. I am going to the Diabetes Clinic on Tuesday to hear all about the diet I get to be on.
Surprisingly, I'm not too upset about it. I mean, it's definitely no fun, but there could be worse things.

Yesterday I also felt another kidney stone moving, this time on my right side. It was painful, obviously, but luckily the pain medication I had at home worked and it only lasted a couple hours without getting too extremely severe. I'm crossing my fingers that any more to come are as manageable as that.

Besides that, things are going fine. I pretty much feel as big as a whale at this point. This little one is quite the mover. I think she can hear her sister playing and wants to come join her. I'm getting excited to have a little baby, but at the same time, I remember how much work they are so I'm okay with the fact that I have a few months left to prepare. We're still struggling with a name. I thought Rob and I were on the same track, but apparently I was wrong. :) Hopefully we'll know what to name her by the time she gets here. Despite the few health issues I've been having, the baby is doing wonderfully and that is a huge blessing. She'll be here before we know it!

I'm so sorry, doesn't seem fair with your kidney stones, you should have something else unpleasant as well while being pregnant. Oh well, you are all but there and it's always worth it in the end!

I thought about going on the no sugar diet with you, but thats about as far as I got! I can't wait til she gets here and maybe you just need to see her before you decide on a name. She will be perfect! Anisten is so cute in her pink marshmallow snowsuit, and it looks like she likes the snow as much as the water. Love ya lots!!

I love the name Paige, if you vote matters! Also if I ever have a girl I might steal the name Aniston, I love it. You are getting close, hang in there. Sorry about your kidney stones. I had them with Landon too, I think they are worst then the actual birth.
