Christmas Eve 2013

Christmas Eve started by going to my Grandma and Grandpa Maxfield's house for a visit.  I must have not taken any pictures which seems strange, but I can't find any.  I feel bad every Christmas because its pretty much the only time we visit them at their house and I know we should go over more often.  I was a little stressed out this time at their house though because my Grandma has all this breakable nice stuff at my children's (especially Alivia's) level and I was worried they were gonna break something any minute.  It was fun to see them though and they got the girls cute pajamas and treats for Christmas which they loved.  They also gave us a Red Robin gift card.  They're so sweet and we love visiting with them.
After Livi's nap we headed over to the Rollins for dinner and festivities.  We had Chinese for dinner this year because we had Thanksgiving at the Rollins as well, so on those years we do a different dinner. Last time was pizza, this time Chinese.  It was delicious.  I love Chinese.  Alivia loved it too.
There was also a hot chocolate bar and the girls had a wonderful time with that.  Although they didn't get the hot chocolate, they just filled their cups with whipped cream and that was heaven for them.

Here is Alivia after dinner...playing under the table.  I got a kick out of this picture.
After dinner was cleaned up we started the festivities.  Here's mom and dad with the pile of gifts
Grandpa reading The Night Before Christmas to the kids
The kids performing the Nativity.  Ani was the angel again and Aivree chose not to participate (being the sheep last year has ruined her forever).
Then on to the gifts...Here are the girls opening their presents  :)

They were so happy with all they got.  Ani was especially excited about her walkie talkies and Aivree loved getting a sled (they both did).  Here's a picture of some of the mess
Livi was so happy with her baby and stroller.  She would put the baby in the stroller, wave bye to me and then she was off.  So cute.

The Rollins gave us cash again this year which we are of course very grateful for.  It's something we can always use and they are always very generous.  We had a great day and a great start to the holiday.
