On December 21st Anisten and Aivree had their Christmas dance recital. I was a little nervous because this was Aivree's very first recital, but we worked on their dances all week and I was excited to see them.
Their hair this time around was a trick for me. It was supposed to be in a high pony with a little poof at the front. That poof was killer. I just couldn't get it to look or look right so after many attempts I decided that it would have to do.
Aivree's hair is easier to deal with than Anisten's...Ani's is just so thick
When I was getting pictures of the girls Alivia wanted to make sure I got one of her too. I love her face in this. See, now I think that if they'd decided to do their hair like hers for the recital, they would've looked awesome! (gotta love the lopsided piggy tails and after nap bedhead) :)
Here they are in their dancer poses. I don't know why I didn't have Ani do her heel stretch or splits or needle. That girl is so flexible now its crazy! All those dance classes have paid off.
And here they are after the recital with their flowers we gave them. They did so good. Ani lost her balance at one part doing her needle, but it wasn't a big deal and she recovered quickly. I'm so proud of my little dancers. I love that they love to dance - not that I push them in any way. Honestly, I would be totally fine taking them out of dance because it isn't easy for me to get them there twice a week and it's certainly not cheap! But they always say they want to keep doing it and they love it, so I'm okay with it too.
They had lots of support from grandparents and Kina, Brody, Lexi and her boyfriend Jake came too. Such lucky girls
