Halloween was so fun this year and the girls were soo excited. We were a little nervous about the weather because it snowed the week before, but honestly, it could not have been better. It was the perfect temperature to be outside walking around.
The girls are in a coloring phase right now where they color and draw and cut and paste all day long. They just love to create and it's so cute. We made a bunch of homemade Halloween decorations this year (the girls didn't think I had enough) and they adorned many of our walls. The girls were coloring Halloween morning and I just loved the pictures they made.
Here's Aivree with the scary monster she drew. Isn't that the best monster picture? She made sure to point out to me, with a giggle, that she made his teeth blue. So cute.
And here's Anisten's ghost picture. Just one of many ghosts she drew this year
Anisten had school and so Aivree waited impatiently for her return so they could start trick or treating. Patience is a tough thing when you're a three year old on Halloween. Ani had a Halloween party at school and had a lot of fun at it and came home with all kinds of cute things. Luckily Rob made it home once again around 5, so he was able to share in the Halloween festivities with us. We ate dinner (I made salmon and rice...for some reason this year I wanted them to have something healthy in them before going out and getting a bunch of treats), and then when our friends came over, we were ready to go.
Here's most of the crew (they're all huddled around the candy) at one of their first trick or treating stops. Our neighbors, the Briggs.
Cute Ani and her Halloween bag. She continued to insist that she was Milli from Team Umizoomi (no one had a clue who she was talking about) and I was okay with that because I know that she gave in to me because I wanted her to wear that costume instead of having to find a brand new one. Thanks Anisten. I thought you looked pretty darn cute, no matter who you decided to be.
Here comes Aivree. She was having a tough time because her Ariel dress was a little long, but she was a trooper. She did eventually ride in the stroller for awhile because we were holding Alivia.
Speaking of, here's our little Tweety Bird Livvy. I decided to put her back in this costume to make sure she was nice and cozy. She did really well too. Being outside and being held aren't her favorite things (she likes to be inside playing on the floor and moving around), but she did good and only got a little fussy towards the end.
Another picture of the kids at a house. We have a pretty fun little neighborhood on Halloween; one house makes a seriously scary haunted house in his garage, another house gave out homemade root beer and
another one was making homemade donuts. So fun and the kids lasted quite a while too.
And here are the girls with their stash at the end of the night. Quite the haul!
Happy Livvy ready for bed
Happy Halloween!
