Finally..a Summer day!

Ever since the weather started warming up the girls have wanted to go swimming. Any time I would comment about how warm the weather was, Anisten would say "Can we get the pool out?" And I'd say, "No, we have to wait until it's a Hot day." Well, I looked at the weather last night and saw that today would be a nearly hot day, so I thought I'd bring out the ol' swimming pool and give it a whirl. I also got out Aivree's water table she got for her birthday in March. Let me just say, they were a hit.

I began filling up the pool this morning around 9 thinking that the sun could warm it up and the girls could get in around 11 or so and swim. Boy did I think wrong. As soon as they saw that water, they were in. Well, at least Aivree was..fully clothed

...and so happy about it

Personally, I thought they were crazy because the pool was still shaded quite a bit and the water was cold. I thought they'd be freezing! Their excitement won over any worry of being cold.

Once they realized they were getting cold they took some time to wrap up in a towel and sit in the warm sun.

But then it was right back in the water. They seriously played out there for a couple hours before Aivree decided she was too cold and wanted to come inside and watch a little Baby Einstein (I know she's no longer a baby, but she still loves watching those!) Anisten was my little fish today though, she just loved it out there.


She eventually came in too to eat some lunch and get warm.

And now that there is no one out to play; the pool is in the sun getting warm

Well that was enough for Ani...as soon as Aivree was down for her nap (1:30), Anisten was out there playing again and she didn't come back in until 5!

She loved to water our weeds :)

After Aivree's nap she wanted to come back in the water too. I was all out of swim diapers so I just put a Pull-up on her and we had a good laugh when it was time to take that off. Those pull-ups are pretty absorbent! (it's actually the Pampers brand Easy Ups)

That's quite the full diaper! haha

The girls had lots of fun today in the sun. Yay for a nice warm day!
