Winter Swimming

What a great idea huh? Indoor swimming. I love it. This winter has been one of the worst ever for our family because we have been sick so much. It makes it feel like this winter is dragging on forever and we all have major Spring Fever (another sickness!!). So we decided to take the kids to the Aquatic Center and do some swimming. Anisten was soo excited and we all had a great time. It's nice to do something different for a change. Although it was kind of weird (and cold) coming out of the Aquatic Center into the rain.

Rob and the girls again. You can see the big slide in the background. Anisten loved it! She just couldn't get enough of the slide, but the line was pretty slow moving.

Anisten, look at me! Silly girl. It was kind of scary at one point with Ani today because there was a little playground in the water with a small slide she wanted to go on. I was behind her and she was going down first. I tried to tell her to put her feet down when she got to the bottom, but I think she was expecting it to be just like at the playground and went on down the slide. Her feet went up when she hit the water and she went under. I can't even remember what happened after that. I just know I got down that slide so fast and pulled her out of the water. I can still see it happen all over again when I close my eyes. So scary. She was very shaken (I was even more so), but she recovered quickly and was right back in the water soon after. Swimming lessons are definitely in our future.

Overall, it was a fun day and we were happy to spend some family time together.
