Is it possible to love this much?

She's here! Aivree Brianne Rollins arrived on March 18, 2009 at 6:01 pm. She weighed 6 lbs 9 oz and was 19 1/2 inches long. Isn't she beautiful? After a long night with the Cervidel on Tuesday, they started me on the Pitocin on Wednesday morning at around 9:30 am. I got the epidural at around noon and it seemed to work a bit better this time, although I did almost pass out when they gave it to me (all the blood had rushed to my bottom half, leaving my head without). By the time I was ready to deliver, the epidural had worn off on my right side. It wore off with Anisten too, so I was kind of expecting it. We had to wait a little bit for Dr. J to come and I got to the point where I felt like I needed to push with each contraction. It was crazy. I had to push for about 20-25 minutes and I could actually feel her coming out, so it was a bit painful. The pushing was definitely harder this time, but it helped that I could feel the contractions, so that I would know when to push. Once I got her perfectly round head through, the rest was easy.

She had quite a bit of water in her mouth and lungs, so she didn't do a lot of real good crying there at the beginning. The nurses took her for about a half hour and luckily she didn't have to go to NICU. Besides that, she was perfectly healthy and well. The recovery has been really good for me so far. I haven't been as emotional as I was with Anisten (at least not yet). I was excited to be able to come home and be with my hubby and other daughter again. We had all missed each other.

I was so happy to finally hold our baby Aivree (Gotta love the after labor pictures, eh?) I just kept thinking..Isn't she beautiful? and I'm not pregnant anymore! Yay! :)

Anisten didn't want a lot to do with the baby at the hospital. I don't think she really likes hospitals (besides the long hallways that she can run "fast" in). She was a little wary of everything while we were there, but once we brought Aivree home Anisten has done a lot better with her. She loves to just look at her and touch her. She hasn't tried to pick her up on her own yet thankfully. We got her a little baby doll to bring home from the hospital, so she has a baby just like mommy.

It's such an incredible experience to bring a life into the world. I can't believe how much love I have for my little family of four. We are so blessed. Things are going to be a bit crazy around here for a little while, but hopefully we can get in the swing of things soon enough. I just wanted to thank everyone for their love and support. We have such good family and friends and you definitely make life easier. I also wanted to mention how grateful I am for my sweet husband. He has been so good to his girls and taken care of us all. Thank you for loving me and for being so helpful. I love you so much babe!

Oh what a little sweetheart. Holy cow, I can't believe you're done! It sounds like things went pretty well despite the epidural partially wearing off. I just have to say, you look really fantastic in these pictures. Who would have guessed you had just given birth...
