We were happy that we were able to be in our house for Easter this year. We decided to hide the girls baskets and then hide some eggs for them to find. We had a family night earlier in the week about the real meaning of Easter and so one of the plastic eggs we hid was empty to remind the girls of Jesus and the empty tomb. So far that's really the only Easter tradition I've come up with. I haven't mentioned the Easter Bunny for a couple of reasons. One, I don't think it's necessary - it just really doesn't make sense to me. And two, Anisten is terrified of Santa, I can't imagine a bunny would be any different. In fact, we saw the Easter Bunny in Walmart the day before Easter and Anisten wouldn't go near that section of the store, so my intuition was correct. We'll see as the girls get older what other traditions we come up with.
Their baskets had their Easter dresses in them and shoes, an umbrella, sunglasses and some candy.
Here is a picture of Ani's basket
They also got the Tangled movie and the Tangled CD (I can't believe I didn't get a picture!?) That has probably been their favorite present of all. They both just love the movie and our whole household (including Rob) walks around singing Tangled songs all day long. "And at last I see the light....."
