I love this house, >sigh<
Well I hope this isn't too early to say, but it looks like we are moving again. Aaaahh! I know, we just barely moved here! I feel like I've just got the boxes unpacked and all the addresses changed. Let me explain the why...when we built this house it ended up being a little more than we were expecting and we were living kind of tight, but it was at least manageable. But at the beginning of this year our house payment went up due to an escrow shortage, making it much tighter than we were comfortable with. We were only planning on staying here a couple of years anyway, since we were doing the whole build and sell thing. So, fed up with being house poor, we decided to test the waters of house selling in this horrible economy and see how our house would do. We put it on KSL at first and received about a million phone calls from real estate agents on the first day (For Sale by Owner!!! They jump on that). One actually came and talked to us and we told him if he could get what we wanted out of it minus his fees, we'd let him try to sell. So we hesitantly listed it and during the first couple of weeks had 4 different people come through. No one was making offers and we were okay with that because we weren't in a desperate situation. Then one night Rob calls me from his Young Men's activity saying someone called him who'd seen our ad on KSL and wanted to stop by the house that night. I was a little annoyed that I had to rush to clean the house and thinking that there was no way these people were going to buy, especially without a realtor. So they came and they looked and acted like they liked what they saw, but you just never can tell....well three days later they put in an offer and after some negotiating we accepted! Just like that. They want to move in May 14th. So here we are on an enormous house hunt of our lives trying to find that perfect house in a matter of weeks while trying to pack all our stuff back up. The little kink in all this is that Rob and I have had a vacation to Florida/Bahamas planned for May 3 - May 9, leaving only two weeks to pack up our house and find somewhere else to live before we leave for a week. I'm a little overwhelmed and it feels like my brain might explode with all I have to think of to do. I was already stressing about our trip because I'm going to be leaving my babies for the longest time ever. It's just not the greatest timing, but we really are not complaining. We were able to get a pretty good price considering the way the market is right now, so we are happy...and just a little crazy (and apparently longwinded).
Rob and I had our Six Year Anniversary on April 14. We didn't plan anything special knowing we'd be going on a trip in just a few weeks. In fact, we went out house hunting that day. Well, someone gave some Jazz tickets to my brother and he called us to see if we wanted them (thanks Brandon!). So it was nice that we got to go on a date for our Anniversary (despite all the craziness).
Here we are at the Jazz game. I took this with my phone so it's not too great.
I feel like the luckiest girl in the world to be married to my best friend. I would be lost without my other half. I love you babe!
